What Does Social Justice Actually Mean?

Social Justice refers to the treatment of citizens without any sort of discrimination based on caste, color, religion, region, gender, etc. It means that there are no privileges that are being extended to any individual religion, and improvement in the situation of backward classes (SCs, STs, and OBCs) and women. The Indian Constitution is based on it. Indian Constitution maker B.R. Ambedkar was well known for the use and minimality of various principles of justice. They wanted to research such a form of justice that could fulfill the expectations of the whole revolution. Therefore in the year 1985-86, the Ministry of Welfare was divided into the Department of Women and Child Development and the Department of Welfare. Simultaneously, the SC Development Division, Tribal Development Division, and the Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Division were moved from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and also The Wakf Division of the Ministry of Law was merged with the Ministry of Welfare. In May 1998, the Ministry was renamed the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Presently there are many schemes working for Social Justice and Empowerment.
